When Will Hayden was 4 years old, his father Tim began to show him everything he knew about golf. Fast-forward, when Tim takes Will on a golf excursion to Doral, Florida, after Will didn’t make the varsity golf team.

 

Call them starters, call them appetizers, call them shareables, but whatever you do, don’t pass over them on the menu. Fun, shareable food encourages lively conversation among family and friends. These dishes are easily split into bite-sized tidbits.

The Westin Edina Galleria has livened up its lobby with a new bar and lounge. The original lobby vibe was relaxed and serene; the updated space, called Prelude, is sophisticated and clean, but also inspiring and energizing.

It was 1976. Judith Guest had recently moved to Edina and looked to the Newcomers’ Club for opportunities to become connected. Guest and other new-on-the-block book lovers were encouraged to sign up for Newcomers’ “alternate” book club that met at night.

Edina pickleball players finally have home-court advantage. Thanks to a generous donation from Edina’s Mooty family, Rosland Park will now feature five side-by-side pickleball courts. In July, there was a grand opening celebration to officially present the courts to the community.

 

In the five years between college and becoming a school counselor at South View Middle School, Paul Andress held just about every odd job imaginable.

 

This story begins with a tweet in January by Edina High School student Emma Bonthius, now a senior. Her message: “Today Katie Dickey’s amazing super-mom is entering brain surgery. Please pray for her and her family to give her the strength to fight this battle.

 

For the past 10 years, the Edina Chamber of Commerce has recognized exceptional educators with an annual Teacher of the Year award.

Sarah Jarret, a teacher at Edina High School, saw a lack of racially diverse groups at Edina High School, but she had no idea how to bring it up or how to start one.

 

Michael Tang, an Edina High School senior, was selected as a featured artist for Classical Minnesota Public Radio’s Minnesota Varsity Showcase.

 

High school senior Carson Knoer seems to have his future all mapped out. With an interest in engineering and a religious upbringing, he decided to attend Benilde-St. Margaret’s Catholic school in St. Louis Park.
